The situation
A two-site network: R1 serves two VLANs (Staff, Guest) with DHCP and routes to R2 via OSPF; Guest must not reach the R2 server.
Build this in Packet Tracer
- Drag 2 routers → R1, R2, 1 switch → SW1, 2 PCs → PC-STAFF, PC-GUEST, 1 Server → SRV (behind R2).
- Connect R1 Gi0/0 → SW1 Gi0/1 (trunk), PC-STAFF → SW1 Gi0/2 (VLAN10), PC-GUEST → SW1 Gi0/3 (VLAN20), R1 Gi0/1 → R2 Gi0/0 (OSPF /30), R2 Gi0/1 → SRV.
